Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using OtpVault, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of Service

OtpVault is a desktop two-factor authentication (2FA) manager that stores your TOTP secrets in an encrypted local vault with optional cloud backup. The app runs locally on your device.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email and password. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Security

Your vault is encrypted with a key derived from your password. We cannot recover your vault if you forget your password. It is your responsibility to remember your password.

Limitation of Liability

OtpVault is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The authors are not liable for any damages arising from the use of this software, including but not limited to loss of access to accounts.

Open Source

OtpVault is open-source software. The source code is publicly available on GitHub for transparency. You may review, compile, and verify the software yourself.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason.
